I'm back from vacation and got to check out the season debut as a perfect way to cap it off. I have spoken before on the importance of a hot start to propel this unit forward and that's exactly what happened. Such a thing is required to boost confidence and a near egotistical approach will be needed from this squad to push into the playoffs this year.

It all starts here.

Chicago came back from behind in a game that was the Devil's to drop, but a spark in overtime pushed the red and black back ahead in the end. Superstar-to-be, Jack Hughes, netted two (including the beautiful game winner) and Hamilton and Andreas popped in one a piece as well. Hughes looks like he's been in the League for a decade, not three years.

The game was dramatic and far closer than you'd want, especially when, as alluded to a bit prior, the Blackhawks got two biscuits in in the third. The last of which was in the closing seconds of regulation. Still, despite some red flags, this was the hot start that was needed and proved that 2021-2022 is going to be a thrill ride.

Tomorrow night, game two, against the new Kraken club. Now that ESPN has updated the schedule, it appears that nearly every game is indeed streaming outside of select content, so make sure to tune in tomorrow at seven and check back here for future dWo entries frequently!
