Stortregen's Impermanence is the latest from the Swiss thrash-tech collective and you can tell they really wanted to carve as much of your face off as quickly as possible because it hits like a fucking bus and rarely relents during the 45-minute runtime. They'll kick your ass while sending you on a journey worthy of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign thanks to some speed metal tendencies attached alongside their janky hybridization of metal genres, at times reminding me of a European Protest the Hero meets Obscura blend in the way that they just don't give a fuck. It rocks, is what I'm saying. Prepare your anus, get ready to smile, and hit play on this truly fun creative release.
