Asgardians of the Galaxy #6 Review

Asgardians of the Galaxy (2018-): Chapter 6 - Page 1
The road to War of the Realms continues. This team is actually completely new to me, but I'm pretty open minded about most things. I'm just hopeful that the cover art here doesn't make my blog start showing up as NSFW or something...

Note that there is a pretty detailed primer intro at the start of the issue, but it is rather longwinded.  I had to read it twice to really take it in, but I am pretty tired right now so maybe that has something to do with it. The character descriptions were pretty detailed, too. This really seems like they are trying to make it as newcomer friendly as possible despite the obvious depth.

That said, there really was a lot going on here yet little of it actually stuck the landing. Kid Loki is interesting, but the issue felt largely like a bargain bin version of the Guardians. The best part was the cliffhanger, but I am unsure if this team can pull off the payoff. I guess we'll see.

Skip this unless you insist on reading all of the releases setting up the event.
