Thoughts:
I'll be the first to admit that what I saw of Tyler in Ring of Honor back in the day didn't amaze me. Don't get me wrong, he was solid, but he was still a weak link compared to many of the more talented roster members. His WWE work, when I watched the company, was actually a rare example of him appearing better in Vince's walls than outside of them.

That said, I don't remember these matches and they had decent ratings on Cagematch, so lets take a look...

The first match was a bit funny, since this is supposed to be a showcase for the artist formerly known as Tyler Black despite the fact that he doesn't win and, more importantly, is the weak link of the match. Still, it was an overall great encounter and a fun nostalgia watch for fans of the three.

Up second, a 22-minute match that felt a bit too bloated and featured weak commentary. It was also over booked a tad, too. You can tell they tried to make it appear like an epic battle but they both failed to deliver. The first half was a bit of a chore and, for a dude with sleep deprivation issues, it nearly put me to sleep. The thing really only picked up on the tail end, and even then was largely only notable because it was when Black won the strap for his first, and only, time. Honestly, skip this.

It speaks heavily to my point of Tyler's quality as a performer in Ring of Honor if this was what they considered his peak three encounters. I get that they wanted to just get some clicks for their YT channel by using Seth's likeness, but sometimes it is okay to move along...

The third, and final, match of the set saw TB defend the championship against Kevin Steen! It was easily the best thing of the set and a nice, bloody brawl between the two. They built this up nicely with well placed bombs sprinkled throughout and a nice crowd to top things off. In all, they told a decent story and worked hard. Sincerely, fantastic stuff!

The set, though....good, not great, much like Tyler in Ring of Honor! Just watch the last match and move along.
