I had heard pretty great reviews for this ongoing series so, let's check it out. Basically, it's an international teenage group and that means drama and angst. Ms. Marvel is the leader, with Miles Morales and Sam Alexander also being two of the biggest standouts here.
This worked very well as an introduction issue to the team, and I never really felt lost even with the massive amount of team members being quickly introduced. Three missions were going on simultaneously here, but that wasn't really what this was about. It was about the initial successes of the group and the hope that created. Of course, it was also about laying the foundations for future problems, too.
Everything worked well, the art was on point, and the entire issue was entertaining. This one is well worth checking out and I look forward to reading the next issue.
