Three issues in, and Buffy remains an interesting concept done without nearly as much heart as the original. This modernized take on the classic is essentially a novelty, and I remain unimpressed. Despite upping the action, the humor still fails to really land properly and the whole arc so far really has me just wanting to rewatch the show instead of reading another issue. I think I'll drop this one for now, but perhaps I'll return at a later time to see if they finally find a groove.
