Detroit City FC silence Houston, ADVANCE to Round of 16!!

Ladies, gentlemen, and nonbinaries, we here at RW+B are proud to announce Detroit City FC's victory last night over MLS' Houston Dynamo! It was a dramatic as hell Texas shootout and another entertaining example of how DCFC have been on a rampage this year.

The second I can afford a jersey, I'm getting one.

Carlos, the DCFC goalie, would be the one to knock in the winner after the two went the distance and took this one to pens. This would mark the second time that Le Rouge have stomped out a Major League Soccer club during this tournament with a recent W over Crew. Before the moment of triumph, it took a comeback kid spirit and a workhorse attitude from the "lesser club" and a whole lot of hard work for 120+ freakin' minutes. Not bad considering the above it all attitude the MLS and most of the clubs in it have had in regards to The Cup. Someone send these boys some flowers!

Click the image above for the highlights! It's sincerely one of the best games of the year!

Later this month, the firey US Open Cup will continue as the Motor City Monsters will face off with either Indy 11 or San Antonio FC.
