My favorite band of all time is here to grace us with their awesome tunes for this week's Record of the...Week. I went with one of their more polarizing outputs for my selection because honestly I feel it's underrated and deserved a tiny bit of a spotlight, 13 years later.
This, serving as a prequel to their ongoing epic, featured industrial aspects and different dynamics at times which some fans found to be jarring. Personally I respected the attempt on this release to take their proven formula and to add touches here and there that really made it feel like something new.
I don't need twenty Coheed albums that all sound the same. I want experimentation, not laziness.
