Are you aware of torneo ciberneticos as a match gimmick, Tony? I'm sure you are because I know you're a mark like the rest of us. Well, if I am wrong let me quickly break it down or feel free to skip ahead if you'd like past the video below. In the CMLL tradition of the cibernetico, you would start with a battle royale for seeding purposes that ends when it's down to two and then heads to the main stage. I know you dig battle royales, so this should be in your lane. Then, you take the workers and, based off of how the seeding section turns out, you place them on two teams on either side of the ring. The team sizes are changeable, but I'd suggest ten or twelve. From there, you have a batting order where tag ins are done in that order like in baseball. Elimination rules. Matches: Rollins vs Rhodes ****1/4 Lashley vs Omos *1/2 Styles vs Edge ***1/2 SmackDown Women's Title, I Quit: Flair(c) vs Rousey ***3/4 Corbin vs Moss * The Bloodline vs RK-Bro, McIntyre ****1/2 Thoughts: I finally had enough time set aside to watch this one. I saw almost none of the build and what I did see did little for me. Still, the card looked interesting on paper even with the poor leadup so fuck it, right!? We started this one with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a rematch from Mania. Their first encounter was well worth seeing so I was rather hopeful they'd deliver once again. They did. In fact, it was a borderline MOTYC and I am especially excited to see how they use the Hell in a Cell gimmick for round three as a result. Matches: 1.Jimmyz vs Mochizuki, Dragon Kid, Fujii, Arai, Ichikawa **** Thoughts: So, let me be blunt right off the bat and say that this episode is for a very specific group of fans. I happen to be that market. You might not be. I still encourage all fans to watch it regardless. Now, this one night reunion of Jimmyz saw the unit taking on a grab bag of relevant names. It was heavy on the throwbacks and the comedy while perfectly mixing in the quality wrestling that I expect from a DG multiman. It's ten dudes having a good time and doing what they love. I got to watch it. This type of thing is one of the reasons I love DG. Check it out and see if you love it, too. Overall Rating: 80/100%
