We are STARDOM!! #65 Review

Matches: 1.Wonder of STARDOM Title, Hair vs Hair Apuesta: Giulia(c) vs Tam ****1/4 Thoughts: While the second half of this episode focuses on the aftermath of the first half, though sadly unless you speak more Japanese than myself it will likely be skippable for you.  The good news?  The first half was fucking fantastic. Tam rocks in the underdog role and has increasingly felt like a star ready for a true breakout. This was her moment for sure. Giulia worked hard last year and became a big name in joshi so this was really a big deal. Add in the quality work, some great big spot moments, and the fantastic drama and storytelling and you have a truly must-see encounter and one of the best matches of the year so far. The post-match cut was a nice cap. Click play above to check it out, just know in advance that you'll likely only get 1/2 a normal episode worth of content. Overall Rating: 85/100%

Fun trivia I suppose. The match was actually really good and it was nice seeing Keith Le

WCW Nitro #6 Review

Matches: 1.WCW US Title: Sting(c) vs Shark NR 2.Sabu vs Mr. JL ***1/4 3.Big Bubba vs Hawk NR 4.Cage: Arn Anderson vs  Ric Flair ** Thoughts: The issue with running more than three matches on a one hour wrestling show is it can make everything suffer. Two is best, three is good. One is risky but can be awesome. Four or more is a bad idea. Here, we had four, which made the entire episode feel rushed. This episode starts with the commentary crew pumping up that they are in Chicago, wearing Bears jerseys, and then we're told The Giant is banned from the arena for the evening. Sting interrupts them and claims he will fix the issues between Savage and Lex. Our first match was just over a minute long, with Sting successfully defending the United States Heavyweight Championship against The Shark. It was not much of anything, but clearly only Sting is seen as important in this situation. The reason why WCW gives out title shots makes little sense most of the time. Moving on, the second cont
