Do you love 70's blues heavy, hippy rock? Well, meet Swedish band, Lykantropi. They list the Mamas & the Papas as major influences, and it shows strongly here on Spiritousa. Nice vocal melody work and a strong display on guitar are the highlights, with a very good rhythm section backing everything up in a manner that shines, too. The production just happens to be some of the best I've heard all year, ensuring every note lands perfectly.
Yes, the level of musical competence here on display makes this a very enjoyable listen, especially if you're seeking a new "chill album". Spiritousa is a pretty good CD to just relax to, so go give it a listen next time you're in that zone.
